Great question, Beth. Yes! The 3-step kit formulations are all made to work on both concrete and carpet. So you can be assured each surface will be cleaned and free of odor when complete. Good luck!

Sorry to hear of the basement mess! Since there is no odor associated with the actual enzyme or Ion-based products, you'll be fine in an enclosed area that isn't ventilated well. If the pee smell is strong though, a mask can help tolerate doing the job; otherwise there is no real health risk while cleaning things up. Good luck!

Excellent question! First off, yes some stubborn feline stains will require an additional treatment. That's normal in tough cases. For your question about Step 1, I confirmed with LPF that it's OK to apply the Step 2 granules just after the Step 1 soaking. It will still be effective. Waiting doesn't hurt of course, so if you do and things dry out, just add some regular water to re-hydrate the spot, then sprinkle away!

We recently did the Live Odor Free Ion cleaner in our garage on a spot that our elderly cat peed on multiple times and over the last few years. It worked--but not entirely. We have enough to repeat the process a second time. My question is, after allowing step one to soak for 8 hours, that left the area dry for us. When you sprinkle step 2, do you re-wet with step 1 (or with water?), or just sprinkle it on the now-dry area?

My Daughters Dog has peed on our basement floor and there is a very large stain that has been there for a while, can I use the enzyme product step 1-2-3 even if there is no windows in this room? Ion treatment all the way, Jane :) The ion-based product mentioned in the article will tackle it easily. I would spray the solution on and let it "penetrate" where it needs to for a few minutes. Make sure you use their discount code!

So yes, the LPF ion product for garage and patio floors would be perfect for getting rid of the urine smell in the bathroom. Apply twice after warm water if it's already been hit with some other "cleaner" that most likely didn't do the job. As for sealing, you can definitely go on top of stained concrete using the KILZ Low-Lustre Sealer product. Get that odor out first. Best of luck!

My daughter moved into an apartment with stained concrete floors. The downstairs bathroom smells like human urine. (Think middle school boys bathroom). Will this product fix it? Can you seal stained concrete with kilz? Apartment people “cleaned” and did some type of odor bomb but I’m concerned it will come back. Any advice?
