Toilet plumbing and repair
Guides and tips for how to fix a toilet
Like much of your house's plumbing, toilet tank plumbing hasn’t evolved all too much. Toilet tank plumbing can bring problems such as the common leak,
running toilet, overflows, and broken handles, to name a few. The good news is your toilet troubles are all surely to be common ones, and toilets plumbing is pretty straightforward, and most repairs don’t require a plumber.
Your toilet is made up of a few basic toilet plumbing parts. A lever or handle is moved to release water from the toilet’s tank to the bowl through a flush valve. It does this by pulling a lift chain attached to a flapper. Water refills the tank via a ballcock, which is controlled by a float ball. That big ball we see in the tank that shuts off the water when it rises to the top. If any of these toilet tank and toilet flush parts aren’t in place or are limited, problems begin.
See the following guides to help you with your toilet plumbing issues.
